Dr Rebecca Loundar on Live TV

Her lengthy experience as a clinical psychologist has led our head of Social Sciences, Dr Rebecca Loundar, into both research and practical work on dealing with domestic violence.  Joel a'Bell, former Policy Commissioner Andrew Scipione, and Bec spoke to the issue of the 'Family Sphere'.  Boundaries, belonging, and a sense of freedom, Dr Loundar noted, were critical to dealing with the pressures on families. "If those things are not managed effectively, that's where we can start to see problems." A sense of belonging is essential in producing strong communities - churches and their associated communities are important conditioners in producing stable, strong societies.
