Donna Mclean joins our team as the VETiS Coordinator bringing together her passion for pedagogy with 15 years of experience in teaching and administration across multiple disciplines, successfully navigating between State and National training providers. Graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor Education (Honours), with her Masters study across Digital Media, and Educational Leadership and Management welcomes her advocacy for continuous investment across diverse knowledge systems through vocational education, enhancing alternate pathways for higher education, local learning communities and social capital.
Originally from the corporate sector Donna specialises in Hospitality, Commercial Catering as well as Visual Arts and Design enterprise. Her focus is developing relationships while building networks that facilitate school as a learning work place. Donna is a commercial artist; a food photographer and videographer; passionate about Christian education. She attends Hillsong church.

- Project managed successful application for considerable VET Qualifications across Certificate II, III & IV.
- Delivered average grow of 30% year on year through successful implementation of annual planning and strategic curriculum development across the VET and Creative Arts department.
- Managed innovation and continuous improvement, organisational change, managed budgets, strategic plans and risk management. Successfully developing student lead commercial enterprise initiatives.
- Responsible for effective management all core areas of VET department, stakeholder relationship while ensuring high quality curriculum delivery, achieving strategic student outcomes.
- Managed curriculum updates ensuring compliance for NESA and legislative requirements. Donna created stakeholder publication and will be able to assist with all compliance issues.
- Project managed the Hunter Cluster partnership expanding qualifications across multiple disciplines for Charlton students in Certificate II, III & IV.
- Project managed the development and implementation of contextualised qualifications to meet the needs of Vocational Education and Training while supporting students, schools and trainers to achieve desired outcomes. Building the quality of Vocational Education and Training across VET and AIS teaching staff.
- Managed preparation of documentation, grants, and learning and assessment resources in the extension of qualifications, teach out and upgrades. Approved national co-assessor status Curriculum specialist in Hospitality and Kitchen Operations.
- Project managed the AIS digital publication showcasing Best Practice in the Hospitality qualification presented at 2017 inaugural VET in Schools Forum Hospitality.
